That passion led Marcus to launch Mission 3:12, a charitable initiative that raises money for every turnover recovered by the Aggie defense. In partnership with the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Walk Among Heroes, Mission 3:12 helps send veterans back to the battlefields where they served, while preserving their stories for future generations.
In its inaugural year, Mission 3:12 delivered an extraordinary impact. Marcus’ efforts helped send a group of World War II veterans back to Normandy for the anniversary of D-Day, a journey of remembrance and honor that underscored the importance of ensuring the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation are never forgotten. Jeff Wells, founder of Walk Among Heroes, praised Marcus’ vision and commitment, stating:“Marcus is an inspiration to us all. To have a young man like him, using his platform as an elite football player to shine a light on the Greatest Generation alive—our World War II veterans—is truly remarkable.”As Marcus enters year two with Texas A&M, he remains determined to elevate both his play and his platform. Through Mission 3:12, Marcus Ratcliffe continues to stand as a leader for the 12th Man, an advocate for America’s veterans, and an example of how the game of football can be used to create lasting impact.
